Thousand

  • 24 cards (9 to ace), 7 each, 3 to the kitty. First to 1000 wins.
  • Card points: ace 11, ten 10, king 4, queen 3, jack 2. The ten beats the king.
  • Bidding: the player after the dealer starts at 100, then +5 or +10, or pass. Without a marriage — no more than 120.
  • The winner of the bid takes the kitty and gives one card to each opponent. Follow suit; if you cannot, play a trump.
  • A marriage is a king and queen of one suit: ♠ 40, ♣ 60, ♦ 80, ♥ 100. Declare it by leading one of them after you have taken a trick — that suit becomes trumps.

Preference

  • 32 cards (7 to ace), 10 each, 2 to the talon. Pool of 10.
  • Bidding: 6♠ < 6♣ < 6♦ < 6♥ < 6 no trump < 7♠ … < 10 no trump. Misère sits between 8 and 9, only as your first bid.
  • The winner takes the talon, discards 2 cards and names the contract. Opponents whist or pass.
  • Follow suit; if you cannot, play a trump. If everyone passes, it is a passing game: take as few tricks as you can.
  • Make it — score to the pool (6 — 2, 7 — 4, 8 — 6, 9 — 8, 10 and misère — 10). Fall short — to the mountain, whisters get whists.

101

  • 36 cards, 5 each. Play a card of the same suit or the same rank as the top card.
  • A queen goes on anything and changes the suit. A six makes the next player draw one, a seven two, the king of spades four — and they miss a turn. An ace just skips the next player.
  • Nothing to play — draw a card; if it fits, you may play it at once.
  • Whoever runs out of cards closes the round. Others score the cards left in hand: 6–10 face value, jack 2, queen 3, king 4, ace 11. Finishing on a queen gives you −20.
  • Reach 101 and you lose — the lowest score wins. Exactly 101 resets you to zero.

Goat

  • Four players, two teams: you and Anya against Mikhalych and Rafik. 36 cards, 9 each.
  • Trumps are the suit of the dealer's last card. Follow suit; if you can't, play any card.
  • Points: ace 11, ten 10, king 4, queen 3, jack 2. 120 in total.
  • The team with 61+ takes the deal: 1 point; 2 if opponents have under 31; 4 if they took no tricks. 60–60 makes the next deal worth more.
  • First team to 12 wins. The losers are the goats.

Bluff

  • All 36 cards are dealt. Four of a kind leave your hand by themselves.
  • The starter names a rank and puts 1–3 cards face down — you may lie.
  • The next player either believes and adds 1–3 cards, or calls "Bluff!" and turns over the last ones.
  • A liar takes the pile. If it was the truth, the doubter takes it. Whoever was right starts the next round.
  • Get rid of your cards without being caught and you are out. The last one holding cards loses.

King

  • Four players, each on their own. 32 cards, 8 each. You must follow suit.
  • Seven "don\'t take" deals: tricks, hearts, boys (J and K), girls (Q), the last two tricks, the King (K♥) and the Mash-up — all at once.
  • In Hearts, King and Mash-up you may not lead hearts while you have other suits. Discard the King as soon as you can\'t follow suit.
  • Then four trump deals: the leader picks trumps, every trick is +6. If you can\'t follow suit, you must trump.
  • After 11 deals the highest score wins.

Bura

  • One on one, 36 cards. Each player holds 3; trumps are the face-up card under the deck.
  • Lead 1–3 cards of one suit. Your opponent plays the same number: beats each one (higher of the suit or a trump) and takes the trick, or discards — then the trick is yours.
  • After each trick both draw back to three, the taker first. The taker leads next.
  • Points: ace 11, ten 10, king 4, queen 3, jack 2. Over 60 wins the deal: 1 point; 2 if the opponent has under 31; 3 if they took no tricks.
  • First to 7 wins.

Nines

  • Four players, 36 cards, 9 each. Whoever holds the nine of diamonds starts.
  • Build a row for each suit: first the nine, then neighbouring cards of that suit — up to the ace and down to the six.
  • If you can\'t play, you pass and take a penalty chip.
  • The first to get rid of all cards wins the deal. Everyone else is penalised for cards left and chips.
  • Five deals. The lowest penalty wins.

Hearts

  • Four players, 52 cards, 13 each. Before each deal everyone passes 3 cards: left, right, across, and every fourth deal no pass.
  • The two of clubs leads. Follow suit; if you can\'t, play any card.
  • Each heart is 1 penalty point, the queen of spades 13. Hearts can\'t be led until someone has discarded one.
  • Take every heart and the queen — shoot the moon: you get 0, everyone else 26.
  • The game ends at 100. The lowest score wins.

Klondike

  • Move all cards to the four foundations — by suit, from ace to king.
  • Build columns down in alternating colours. Only a king can go into an empty column.
  • Tap a card and it moves to the best place by itself — or drag it with your finger.
  • Draw 1 or 3 cards from the stock; when it runs out, turn the waste over.

Spider

  • Build 8 runs from king to ace of one suit — a finished run leaves the table by itself.
  • A card goes on any card one rank higher. You can move only a run of one suit in order.
  • Tap the stock to deal one card to every column. You cannot deal while a column is empty.
  • Start with 1 suit — it is the easiest. 4 suits is for masters.
