101 — how to play
Simple rules — the game also teaches you as you play.
- 36 cards, 5 each. Play a card of the same suit or the same rank as the top card.
- A queen goes on anything and changes the suit. A six makes the next player draw one, a seven two, the king of spades four — and they miss a turn. An ace just skips the next player.
- Nothing to play — draw a card; if it fits, you may play it at once.
- Whoever runs out of cards closes the round. Others score the cards left in hand: 6–10 face value, jack 2, queen 3, king 4, ace 11. Finishing on a queen gives you −20.
- Reach 101 and you lose — the lowest score wins. Exactly 101 resets you to zero.
