Goat — how to play

Simple rules — the game also teaches you as you play.

  1. Four players, two teams: you and Anya against Mikhalych and Rafik. 36 cards, 9 each.
  2. Trumps are the suit of the dealer's last card. Follow suit; if you can't, play any card.
  3. Points: ace 11, ten 10, king 4, queen 3, jack 2. 120 in total.
  4. The team with 61+ takes the deal: 1 point; 2 if opponents have under 31; 4 if they took no tricks. 60–60 makes the next deal worth more.
  5. First team to 12 wins. The losers are the goats.
