Privacy Policy

Filewick · Developer and operator: Sudarev Daniil · Last updated: October 28, 2026

Filewick is a free app for keeping files in order, without ads or purchases. Finding duplicates, “What takes up space”, renaming and sorting into folders all run on your device: the app has no server and no accounts, and files are never uploaded.

1. Files and folders

The app sees only the folders and files you choose yourself. Every action is logged on the device and can be undone; deleted items go to the trash first.

2. “My Mac”

If you want, your phone can open folders on your Mac over your home Wi‑Fi. The connection goes directly between your devices, with no internet and no servers of ours, and is encrypted (TLS). The phone is paired with a one-time code shown on the Mac and remembers the Mac’s certificate fingerprint; the access key is stored only on your devices and can be reset on the Mac at any time.

3. Assistant

The smart assistant on the Mac (if enabled) runs on the device with Apple’s built-in model — file names and contents are never sent anywhere.

4. Photos

Photo access is used only when you add photos or videos to “My files” yourself.

5. No ads or tracking

The app has no advertising, analytics, crash reporting, trackers, in-app purchases or third-party SDKs that collect data, and does not use the advertising ID.

6. Data on your device

Your settings, progress and statistics are stored only on your phone. They are not sent to us. Deleting the app deletes this data.

7. Children

The app collects no data from anyone, including children.

8. Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page. Contact: [email protected].
